Travel to Washington, D.C., Less Taxing With Alaska's Low Introductory Fares

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2001--Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) is celebrating its new daily nonstop service to Reagan Washington National Airport with low introductory fares.

The service, which begins September 4, will offer the only nonstop flights between Reagan Washington National -- located minutes from the Capitol -- and Seattle. Same plane, one-stop service also will be available to and from Anchorage.

Fares start as low as $149 one-way, based on roundtrip purchase between Seattle and the other Washington, and as low as $299 one-way, based on roundtrip purchase between Anchorage and D.C. Plus, flyers will earn double miles in Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan for travel between Seattle or Anchorage and Washington, D.C.

To take advantage of these special, low fares, tickets must be purchased by August 7 for travel between September 4 and November 16.

A 14-day advanced purchase is required, plus either a Friday or Saturday overnight stay. Maximum stay allowed is 30 days.

Fares do not include airport passenger-facility charges of up to $18 and the federal segment tax of $2.75 per takeoff and landing. Fares to and from Canada do not include the $6 U.S. Customs and Immigration fee and Canadian airport improvement fees that vary by airport.

All tickets are non-refundable, but may be changed for a $50 change fee, plus any applicable changes in fare. Seats are limited and may not be available on all days or flights. All fares are subject to change without notice, and other restrictions may apply.
