    SUMMARY: The CEO of Alaska Air Group (NYSE:ALK) will hold his
        annual informal question and answer session with the media
        immediately prior to the 2001 shareholders meeting.

    WHO: John F. Kelly, CEO and chairman of Alaska Air Group, the
        holding company for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air. Also
        available to answer questions will be Bill Ayer, president and
        chief operating officer of Alaska Airlines; and George Bagley,
        CEO and president of Horizon Air.

    WHERE: The media Q&A session will be held on board the first-ever
        Boeing 737-900, which will be parked outside the Museum of
        Flight, 9404 East Marginal Way S., Seattle. (Alaska is the
        launch customer for the new aircraft, which it formally takes
        delivery of this week.)

    WHEN: Pre-boarding for the media Q&A session will begin promptly
        at 1 p.m. Session will be held from 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.,
        followed immediately by the shareholders meeting at 2 p.m.
