Horizon Air To Offer New Service to Palm Springs

SACRAMENTO, Calif,--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2001--Horizon Air today announced plans to offer new nonstop jet service from Sacramento to Palm Springs starting Jan. 6, 2002.

The service will be offered once daily in each direction seasonally through April 28. Flights will be operated with new 70-seat CRJ-700 regional jets. Southbound, the flight will depart Sacramento at 9 a.m. and arrive in Palm Springs at 10:25 a.m. Northbound, the flight will depart Palm Springs at 11:05 a.m., and arrive in Sacramento at 12:30 p.m.

Horizon Air has served Sacramento since 1994 and currently offers nonstop jet service to Portland. Horizon's sister company, Alaska Airlines, serves Sacramento with nonstop jet service to Seattle. Alaska Airlines also serves Palm Springs with direct jet service from Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, B.C., San Francisco and San Jose (effective Feb. 10).
