EUGENE, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 2, 2001--Horizon Air today cut its regular business and leisure fares between Eugene and Los Angeles by up to 45 percent.

The fare cuts are effective immediately and apply to all three of Horizon's daily nonstop jet flights between Eugene and Los Angeles International Airport.

"There's no need to drive to Portland for a low fare to Los Angeles when for about the same price you can fly there nonstop on a Horizon Air jet from Eugene," said Pat Zachwieja, Horizon's vice president of marketing and planning. "Whether it's for a last-minute business trip or a family vacation, our new lower fares to Los Angeles are going to save you money when you fly from Eugene."

Popular with business travelers because it allows for the most flexibility in case travel plans change, Horizon's lowest "walk-up fare" is now only $183 one-way -- a 45 percent reduction from the previous $337 fare.

Horizon's lowest regular leisure fare is now only $119 each way when purchased roundtrip 14 days ahead -- it used to be $166 each way when purchased 21 days ahead of travel. Leisure fares require at least one Saturday night stayover before returning, are non-refundable, and may not be available on all flights. All fares are subject to additional government-imposed fees of up to $18 in passenger facility charges and a $2.75 segment fee per take off and landing.
