Flight Advisory for Alaska and Horizon Passengers

SEATTLE, Jan 27, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Due to winter weather conditions at Seattle and other Northwest airports, Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) and Horizon Air have advised passengers scheduled to depart this afternoon and this evening to check on the status of their flights prior to leaving for the airport.

Alaska Airlines has had to cancel 15 Seattle roundtrip flights so far today and will likely cancel more flights due to forecast weather conditions.

Passengers can check flight status by logging on to the carriers' web sites at www.alaskaair.com or www.horizonair.com, or, alternately, by calling Alaska Airlines at 1-800 ALASKAAIR (1-800-252-7522) or Horizon Air at 1-800-547-9308.

Passengers are further advised that all scheduled flights are subject to delays and holds due to the weather and a decrease in the normal flow rate of arriving flights at Seattle.
