Alaska to Resume Flying to Washington, D.C., With Daily Service to Dulles International Airport

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2001--Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) today announced that it will resume service Oct. 8 to Washington, D.C., with one daily flight to Dulles International Airport.

Earlier this month, Alaska inaugurated nonstop service to Reagan Washington National Airport, which has remained closed since the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon.

"While we hope to resume service to Reagan National in the near future, we're proud to be able to reconnect the people of Alaska and the Pacific Northwest to the nation's capital with service to Dulles," said Gregg Saretsky, Alaska's senior vice president of marketing and planning.

Alaska will provide nonstop service to Dulles from Seattle and one-stop service from Anchorage aboard 120-seat Boeing 737-700 Next Generation aircraft.

Dulles International Airport is located approximately 26 miles and 30 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C. in the neighboring Virginia suburbs.
