Alaska Airlines Zone Fares Provide Cure for Spring Fever

SEATTLE, Jan 15, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) is providing great low fares from each region of Alaska for travel through June 7 to the Lower 48 and Canada, including our newest destinations Boston and Denver.

Five zoned fares are available from most cities served by Alaska Airlines in the state of Alaska to all of the carrier's destinations in Canada and the Lower 48, including cities served by Alaska's sister carrier, Horizon Air.

Travel to Denver or Boston by June 15 and earn double Mileage Plan miles.

Tickets must be purchased by January 22. Travel may originate in either direction. Round-trip fares for each zone are:

A 14-day advance purchase and a two-night minimum stay are required. Travel must be completed by June 7, except to Boston and Denver, which must be completed by August 31.

Tickets can be changed for a $50 fee, plus any applicable difference in fare. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights and days.

Sample fares do not include airport passenger facility charges of up to $18 or federal segment tax of up to $3 per takeoff and landing. Fares to Canada do not include U.S. customs and immigration fee of $6 and Canadian airport improvement fees, which vary by airport.

Double miles to Boston and Denver are valid on qualifying paid flights operated by Alaska Airlines and flown by June 15 and credited to the Mileage Plan. Double miles apply only for the flight segments originating or terminating in Denver or Boston. All Mileage Plan program guidelines apply.
