Alaska Airlines Year-end Sale Gives Up to 30 Percent Savings

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 2001--Save up to 30 percent off travel well into next year with Alaska Airlines' year-end clearance sale.

Plus save an additional 10 percent on these and other fares when you buy your tickets online at alaskaair.com.

Tickets must be purchased by December 28, but travel may be through June 7.

Sample one-way fares, based on round-trip purchase, before the 10 percent online discount are:

(A) Nonstop Los Angeles/Calgary service begins February 10. Prior

Fares between U.S. destinations are for travel Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday. Canadian fares are available all days of the week. And Mexico fares have day-of-the-week restrictions for each direction: southbound travel is Sunday through Wednesday and northbound travel Tuesday through Friday.

A seven-day advance purchase is required. A two-night minimum stay is needed on U.S. and Canadian fares, and to Mexico a 30-day maximum stay applies.

Tickets can be changed for a $50 fee, plus any applicable difference in fare. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights and days.

Fares do not include passenger facility charges of up to $18, the federal segment tax of up to $3 per takeoff and landing or international taxes. To Mexico, international departure taxes of approximately $28, U.S. transportation tax of $26 and Mexico visitors tax of approximately $20 apply. To Canada, Canadian airport improvement fees, which vary by airport, and U.S. immigration fee of $6 apply.

Other restrictions apply, including Mexico fares being subject to blackout dates.

Ten percent online discount applies to new purchases of published fares made at www.alaskaair.com or www.horizonair.com, for flights numbered 1 through 999 and 2000 through 2999. Discount applies to fare level prior to taxes, fees, and surcharges.
