Alaska Airlines Vacations Boosts Commissions for Online Bookings to 15 Percent

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2002--For a limited time, Alaska Airlines Vacations is boosting travel agent commissions from 10 to 15 percent.

The 5 percent bonus is available on all packages booked online April 1-21 at travelagent.alaskaair.com.

"We wanted to give travel agents a great reason to try booking their clients' travel online," said Bradley Walker, Alaska's director of leisure marketing. "Not only will they earn an extra commission when they book Vacations online, but they'll find out firsthand that our travel agent Web site is quick, easy and provides great information about the tremendous variety of packages we offer."

Those packages range from the midnight sun of the Alaskan Arctic to the fun and sun of the beaches of Mexico. And in between there are plenty of other choices, including the Old World enchantment of Victoria, B.C., and other Western Canada destinations; the serenity of California's wine country; the charm of San Francisco; the magic of Disneyland; the manifold attractions of San Diego; the beauty of the desert Southwest; and more.

Whether clients are seeking a week away from home or want a quick weekend getaway, Alaska Airlines Vacations has a wide selection of hotels, convenient flight schedules and a wide selection of optional tours and attractions.
