Alaska Airlines Offers the Newest in Ski Lift Technology

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 2001--It moves at more than 500 miles an hour, lifts skiers 35,000 vertical feet, and seats over a hundred in comfort -- the newest in ski-lift technology is now an Alaska Airlines jet.

Alaska Airlines Vacations today announced the addition of ski packages to some of the best mountains in North America, including Lake Tahoe, Sun Valley, Alyeska in Alaska, Banff/Lake Louise in Alberta, Montana's Big Mountain and Whistler in British Columbia.

Special airfares are available when purchasing ski vacation packages, which include a choice of hotel accommodations and lift tickets. Ground transfers also are included in some packages.

With Alaska Airlines' and Horizon Air's frequent flights to the airports serving each ski destination, the slopes are readily accessible.
