SEATTLE, Nov 9, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alaska Airlines (NYSE:ALK) is offering special low fares with up to 30 percent savings to its Mexico destinations, plus an additional 10 percent savings when purchased online at www.alaskaair.com.

"People are looking for a relaxing international destination close to home," said Gregg Saretsky, Alaska's senior vice president of marketing and planning. "Mexico is the ideal vacation destination, and we have the flights to get our customers to six of the best resorts."

Tickets must be purchased by December 4 and travel competed by March 20.

These fares are valid for southbound travel on Sunday through Wednesday and northbound travel Tuesday through Friday. Other rules including a seven-day advance purchase and a 30-day maximum stay apply. Tickets can be changed for a $50 fee, plus any applicable difference in fare. Blackout dates may apply during peak travel days. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights and days. Fares do not include passenger facility charges of up to $18, the federal segment tax of up to $3 per takeoff, international departure taxes of approximately $28, U.S. transportation tax of $26 and Mexico visitors tax of approximately $20.
